This amount of water may damage the stiffness and look or cause efflorescence and microbial growth. Currently available commercial products can only waterproof building’s façades and soiling problem stays unresolved. Superhydrophobic surfaces are highly water repellant and as a result, they not only make the surface waterproof but also makes it self-clean.
