Logo version 1.0 is unveiled. The logo shows the philosophy behind this research center.
The lotus leaf is a sample of magic in nature. Leaves of the lotus flower are highly water repellent due to the micro- and nanoscopic architecture on the surface, which minimizes the droplet’s adhesion to that surface.
Superhydrophobicity was inspired by this gift of nature. So, it fits our logo better than anything else. Our goal is to transform this quality to different metals, so it can be used in fluid mechanics and heat transfer applications.
Keep in mind that this laboratory is located in Mechanical Engineering Department, whose ultimate goal is to keep gears of industry rolling.
